Our courses are designed to lay the foundation to becoming a top make-up artist within the world of fashion and beauty. The lessons are taught by leading make-up artists working in fashion today and you will be able to view our current work which will be updated regularly on these pages.
Rouge classes are the best available
Rouge classes are the best available. Unlike other make-up schools, the classes at Rouge are kept small so to ensure maximum personal attention to our students so that each one can achieve a high level of training. At Rouge our classes consist of a maximum of six students.
In addition, Rouge believes that your time is valuable. Therefore we focus the classes entirely on hands-on practical training from the start of your day until the end of your day and encourage our students to study the theory side of the course at home. At Rouge one of our class philosophies is 'the more practical the better'.
Rouge is a homely, supportive and friendly environment, beautifully designed in a Boudoir like space. We believe that the key to learning is being in a relaxed atmosphere.
We run several two week courses throughout the year. These courses will appeal to those who would like a career within makeup or alternatively to those who are thinking about a career move but are uncomfortable about jumping in at the deep end and giving up their day job.
What you gain is the opportunity of a new career in make-up together with fantastic experience and knowledge from some of the best working in the industry today.
Rouge uses a variety of high quality products when teaching our students brands such as Mac, Shu Uemura, Versace, Scott Barnes and Youngblood mineral make-up, just to name a few.
Starting out
At the end of your course you will have the opportunity to apply all of your newly learnt skills on a real photographic shoot. This will give you a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working with professional models and a professional photographer. At the end of the shoot youll be given a CD of your work for the start of your portfolio and to give you a head start in your newly chosen career as a professional make-up artist.
On completing the course you will now have gained the skills and confidence to start working in the make-up industry. You may find yourself working in the many environments of the make-up world: film, photographic, fashion shows, personal appearances for celebrities, and freelance work including weddings, makeovers and special occasion make-up.
